If you are not familiar with the sketch comedy group The Kids in the Hall, you might want to just skip this entry because I'm probably going to go on for a bit about this.
The Kids in the Hall are a Canadian sketch comedy troupe that had a TV show from 1988-1995, one movie Brain Candy, an 8-episode miniseries in 2010, and one 8-episode season on Amazon Prime in 2022.
My life's biggest obsession is rabbits, but second to that, is The Kids in the Hall!!! I first watched their original TV show in syndication on Comedy Central. Their sketches were kind of off-beat but a lot of them were about family and friend dynamics so they were very relatable. I began to watch the episodes religiously - I recorded every episode on VHS tapes that I labeled with a list of sketches. I made my friends watch it when they came over to my house to hang out.
I got to see them perform as a group live on two of their tours! They are so funny live, and there's also a lot more swearing. I hope they go on tour again so I can see them live again!! I also got to see Kevin perform solo when he came to Honolulu to run a comedy workshop. I got to take a picture with him!!!
Anyway, I drew this comic to celebrate the release of the new season in 2022. I pretty much only draw rabbits, so that's why I drew them as five rabbits. I don't usually draw rabbits with hair, but I wasn't sure how else to distinguish the five members of the troupe (left to right) - Scott Thompson, Mark McKinney, Bruce McCulloch, Dave Foley, and Kevin McDonald!
Notably, they do have one sketch called "Nutty Bunnies", go watch it!!!
